"I am who I am because of who we all are." -Ubuntu saying
On July 1st this year, we began to get the message out about our new annual theme, Ubuntu here at Stathakis. Ubuntu is an idea that is rooted in the history of Africa and a philosophy about how we as humans best work together.
The managers and supervisors have had training in Ubuntu and they will kick off our annual theme by bringing these unique ideas about our interconnectedness to all of our team members beginning September 1st.
I am really excited to share with you the Ubuntu approach and how we can use these, not only at work, but also in most other areas in each one of our lives. Some of the main themes that stand out and can apply to our daily work lives include:

- Respect for each individual as important & valuable
- What is good for us together is good for us individually
- Cooperation and collaboration, we work together and rely on each other to lift up ourselves, our company & the larger community
- We move forward in the spirit of mutual support & concern for others
- There is no shortage of opportunity for development & growth for every single one of us
